Does the tow truck company need my keys?
It is best to have your key available for the tow truck driver when they arrive. Giving the tow truck driver the keys to your car expedites the loading process. If you need a vehicle towed but do not have keys, the tow company dispatcher may ask you for photos of the vehicle. They want to see if the wheels are straight, which determines what kind of tow truck or special equipment they will need to get the job done for you.

Can I call a tow truck to have an abandoned vehicle removed from my property?
Absolutely, you can call a tow truck for an abandoned vehicle! In order to have a tow truck remove an abandoned vehicle, you will need to provide the towing company with proof that you own the property, such as a copy of the property deed, and a copy of your driver’s license or ID. With proof that you are the property owner, the truck can remove a vehicle that is not in your name from your property. If the owner of the vehicle contacts you about the vehicle that was removed, simply give them the tow truck company’s phone number, and the tow company will handle the rest.
